My name is Hayley Helms, and I started this Substack with one mission: write about things that interest and excite me, with the hope that maybe they’ll interest and excite you, too.

I’ve been a journalist for over ten years, and in my decade-long career have seen many, many changes in the world of media. I’ve been laid off a few times, held a few full-time editing positions, and have learned a lot. I’ve spent my entire career writing for other people with their own dreams, agendas and goals, and now… I think it’s time to write what I’d really like to put out in the world.

There’s a lot to read, watch and interact with in the Wild West that is the Interwebs. If you’ve made your way here, thanks for reading!
